About this Recipe

This is as simple as it gets. Kids love it, adults love making it (quick and easy), and it packs a good nutritional value. This is a pretty popular breakfast item made with a variety of condiments. We’ve chosen some basic ones that were available in our kitchen.

Ingredients

  • 1 whole banana
  • 2 tsps peanut butter
  • 1/2 tsp fennel seeds (can be powdered)
  • 1/2 tbsp honey
  • 1 cup pomegranate seeds (optional)

Peel the banana. Layer it up with peanut butter. It’s best to use runny peanut butter, but since we had this chunky variety, we used this instead. Drizzle some honey on the banana – as much as you like. Top it up with some freshly squeezed lime juice, garnish it with pomegranate seeds and some fennel seeds (can use fennel powder), and the delicacy is ready to be served.

Step by Step Instructions

Step 1

Take a ripe banana. Peel it, and place it on a plate. You may choose to cut it to create smaller portions.

Step 2

Layer it up with peanut butter. It’s best to use runny peanut butter, but since we had this chunky variety, we used this instead.

Step 3

Drizzle some honey on the banana – as much as you like. Top it up with some freshly squeezed lime juice.

Step 4

Garnish it with pomegranate seeds and some fennel seeds (can use fennel powder).

 Tip
You may choose any topping of your size. For a richer portion, add fresh cream and dry fruits to the mix. Some ice cream and other fruit pulp would be divine.
